I think first of all the main reason Erin Hunter wrote this is because of her love of animals. Before the Seekers series she wrote the Warriors series. This was about cats and how they explored places and fought with other clans and there were many different adventures. It is similar in the Seekers because it's bears and they go on quests and they both have these spirits. She also likes to play out how these animals think when they see humans because who doesn't want to know what their dog is saying.In conclusion I think she wrote this for her love of animals and their adventures in the world.

Why the author wrote this

I read most of the Warriors series, It was really awesome, but I eventually stopped mainly because it got a little boring but a little because I fell behind in the series and couldn't get all of the newer books
